Sleep Deprivation Has Disastrous Mental Health Consequences

Stress, anxiety, and depression can all lead to insomnia. The opposite is also true. Depriving oneself of sleep can to a loss of emotional control. In fact, a lack of sleep will lead to more negative emotions while causing a decrease in positive ones. Sleep deprivation can also cause someone to perceive the world around them and reduce their tolerance to low amounts of stress. Always remember that sacrificing sleep over a project, late night studying, or even just binging Netflix is not worth the loss in efficiency and positivity you will experience after.
